The new Bury Hospice will provide:
• 10 generously sized fully equipped single-occupancy en-suite inpatient bedrooms, each with access to their own piece of terrace landscaped garden and outdoor space.
• Enhanced visitor accommodation for families who wish to stay with their loved ones.
• Purpose-built therapy and consultation rooms.
• Landscaped gardens and a number of quiet areas allowing patients and their families different spaces to move between.
• Increased catering facilities to provide meals for family members and visitors as well as in and day patients, with the possibility of local community use.
• Training facilities which will allow the Hospice to provide regular and on-going training for staff, other clinical professionals and students.
• Facilities and space which will allow for and encourage shared use and interaction between other care providers throughout the borough including district nurses, GPs and other specialist services.
